Finding Joy and Meaning in Shared Experiences
As mothers, our days often revolve around a never-ending cycle of cooking, cleaning, working, and caring for our children. While fulfilling, this solo journey can sometimes feel isolating, especially during the festive season. This year, I encourage you to join me in the 10 Calm Minutes Challenge, a journey to rediscover the joy in shared experiences and genuine connections
Busy Mums: "Winter Wellness - A Simple Outdoor Retreat"
Embrace the Simplicity of Winter Outdoor Moments
As mums, the run-up to winter can be particularly stressful. Amidst the chaos, it's crucial to find time for ourselves, even if it's just 10 minutes a day. Here's a guide to creating a simple, stress-free outdoor retreat that every mom can enjoy this winter.
Essentials for Your Outdoor Nook
Comfortable Seating: Find a cozy spot where you can sit comfortably. It doesn't have to be fancy—a simple garden chair or a bench will do.
Warm Jacket: Keep a warm jacket handy. Choose one that's easy to slip on so you can step outside without a second thought.
Cozy Blanket: A soft blanket is perfect for wrapping up and staying warm. It’s like a comforting hug after a long day!
Towel: If it's been raining, a towel to dry off your seat is a practical addition.
Keep It Simple
The key is to minimize effort. The less you have to prepare, the more likely you are to step outside. Aim to gather your items in one go. A small basket near the door with your outdoor essentials can be a great time-saver.
Automated Lighting
Consider setting up outdoor lights on a timer. It creates a welcoming ambience without any extra effort on your part.
A Touch of Serenity: Tea Light Candle
Inspired by the wonderful Abigail Ahern, add a tea light candle to your outdoor space. Lighting a candle can become a calming ritual, signaling it's time to unwind and relax.
Join Our Community: Name Our Little Robin Visitor
As part of our outdoor ritual, let's share a bit of joy. We have a friendly robin who visits regularly. I'd love your help in naming him! Share your suggestions in the comments and let's pick a name together.
Closing Thoughts
Remember, moms, it's about creating a moment for yourself, no matter how brief. These small daily retreats can make a big difference in managing stress and finding joy in the winter months. Let's embrace the chilly days with warmth and simplicity. Share your own winter wellness tips and join our community of moms finding peace in the little things.

So this year to have more joy and less stress
